GURULINK is a linking platform that helps students, parents, teachers, and institutions connect with each other for education, training, communication, profile discovery, support, and related services. GURULINK itself is not the direct provider of private teaching agreements between users unless clearly stated otherwise.

Depending on how you use GURULINK, we may collect the following data:

  • Name, institution name, owner name, and profile display information
  • Email address and phone number
  • Password-based login data and OTP-based authentication data through supported authentication providers
  • Profile information such as category, subjects, classes, boards, qualification, experience, address, area, pin code, website, map link, teaching mode, and fee details
  • Uploaded photos, logo, gallery images, student profile photos, and ID proof documents submitted for verification
  • Payment-related status data, invoice data, invoice client details, and transaction references
  • Messages, demo requests, helpdesk tickets, support chats, enrollment-related chats, and profile enquiry records
  • Profile view logs, timestamps, device/session data stored locally in browser/app storage, and basic usage metadata needed to operate the service

  • To publish profile details selected by the user for public display
  • To connect students, parents, teachers, and institutions
  • To process registrations, approvals, support requests, and profile editing

4. Data Sharing

GURULINK does not sell personal data. We may share limited information only in the following situations:

  • Public profile data chosen by the teacher or institution may be shown to app users, website visitors, or people opening a shared profile link
  • Student and teacher/institution contact information may be shared inside the platform where a feature requires direct communication
  • Payment, hosting, database, storage, and authentication providers may process data as service providers on our behalf
  • We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, court order, fraud investigation, or safety-related request

5. Payments

GURULINK may store payment status, invoice records, fee-related details, and payment references required for registration, subscriptions, invoice tools, or support. Payment processing itself may involve third-party platforms such as Razorpay, UPI, Cashfree, Firebase, or other service providers integrated into the platform.

Users should review the privacy and payment terms of any third-party payment provider used during a transaction.

6. Children and Teen Users

GURULINK is intended for educational connection and support use by students, parents, teachers, and institutions. Where younger learners are involved, we expect a parent, guardian, school, or responsible adult to supervise use as required by law and platform policy.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and service-provider-based safeguards to protect data. User data transmitted through GURULINK and Firebase-backed services is intended to be encrypted in transit over HTTPS/TLS-enabled connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely guaranteed to be secure, so users should also protect their own devices, passwords, and OTP access.

8. Data Retention

We keep data only for as long as needed to operate the service, provide support, maintain business records, investigate misuse, or comply with legal and financial obligations.

  • Core account and profile records may be deleted promptly when self-service deletion succeeds
  • Some linked records such as invoices, payment references, support history, operational logs, or dispute-related records may be retained for up to 90 days or longer where legally required
  • Temporary chats or requests may also be removed automatically after their configured validity period in the platform

9. Your Choices and Rights

  • You may review and update many profile details through Edit Profile
  • You may request account deletion and associated data deletion
  • You may request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • You may choose what profile details are publicly visible where visibility controls are provided
